Posted by Cheyanne on 15 May 2008 Category: Ciara News
Ciara's stepping out of the box with her next release Fantasy Ride, packaging three discs for one album.

According to Billboard each disc will feature 5 or 6 songs that will be based on one of three themes. The first disc "Groove City" shows the sexy side of Ciara, while the second disc, "Crunktown," will feature the up tempo club bangers. Fans can spin disc three, "Kingdom of Dance," for Ciara's house sound with freestyle-laden tracks.

Ciara will also appear in the upcoming film Mama I Want To Sing, co-starring Lynn Whitfield and Patti LaBelle, which hits theaters in October.

Fantasy Ride is the follow up to 2006's platinum-selling The Evolution, and takes off in September. The first single drops in June.

R&B singer Ciara has slated her third album, "Fantasy Ride," for a September release via Jive. Rather than one standard CD, the music will be spread across three separately packaged discs, bundled together, each with five to six songs catering to a different theme.

The first disc is called "Groove City" and will contain sensual songs like "Promise," while the second disc is called "Crunktown" and includes tracks akin to Ciara's 2004 introductory single, "Goodies." Finally, the up-tempo "Kingdom of Dance" will showcase Ciara's house-leaning, freestyle-tinged cuts.

Producer Tricky Stewart, who crafted Rihanna's "Umbrella," is executive-producing the project. Danja is helming both "Crunktown" and "Kingdom of Dance," while "Groove City" is led by Tricky and Jasper.

An official single will drop in June, according to the label. Ciara's last album, 2006's "The Evolution," has sold 1.3 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

T.I. Leaves "Paper Trail" For August Release | 0 Comments | Join the message boards
Posted by Cheyanne on 08 May 2008 Category: TI News
Despite having his share of legal issues in recent months, T.I. is back to doing what he does best and gearing up to drop his latest album, Paper Trail in August.

The highly anticipated disc, which is Tip's sixth studio album, will be the follow-up effort to 2007's platinum-selling T.I. vs. T.I.P. A new track from the album, "No Matter What," produced by Timbaland-protégé Danjahandz recently hit the net.

As SOHH previously reported, in a recent interview with Atlanta radio station Hot 107.9, the lyrical content on Paper Trail may be "ever so slightly" toned down.

"Not to a great deal or an extra degree of censorship, I'm just making sure this album is much more intelligently and artistically put together," T.I. told 107.9. "I'ma still get loose now. I'ma still do me. But you know when I was living the way I was living, I was rapping the way I was rapping ... A lot of elements that were in my life no longer exist."

The self proclaimed King of the South appeared on BET last night on a half-hour special, "T.I. Speaks." In his first televised interview since a plea bargain on weapon charges, T.I directly answered tough questions from host Toure and a group of at-risk students about his life and future after being sentenced to a year in prison. Tip also detailed how the ordeal has changed his life and delivers a strong message about decision-making.

"I must be a man and stand up and accept responsibility," T.I. said. "I exercised extremely poor judgment, and for that, I must be willing to pay whatever price that comes before me."

In related news, T.I. will also be continuing to show off his acting chops, will be starring in New Line's forthcoming film For Sale, which is being produced by Grand Hustle, and will also make a cameo appearance on the new season of HBO's hit series "Entourage."

Paper Trail hits stores on August 12.
T.I. Moves Up Release Date Of 'Paper Trail' Album | 0 Comments | Join the message boards

T.I.’s highly anticipated next album — and his first since his plea bargain on federal weapon charges — finally has a release date. Paper Trail, the follow-up to T.I. vs. T.I.P., drops August 12th. (The single, “No Matter What,” has been out for about a week, in case you non-hip-hop heads don’t know.)

It’s a weird time in a rapper’s life when even his standard ol’ press release gets all gushy and confessional:

“I must be a man and stand up and accept responsibility,” T.I. says. “I exercised extremely poor judgment, and for that, I must be willing to pay whatever price that comes before me.”

T.I.’s also set to star in the upcoming flick “For Sale” (produced by his label Grand Hustle), and make an appearance on “Entourage.” That’s right: “Entourage.” Ten bucks says the plotline involves Turtle…

T.I. To Appear In First Nationally Televised Interview | 0 Comments | Join the message boards
Posted by Trina on 07 May 2008 Category: TI News
T.I. has been busy working on his new album, Paper Trail, and fulfilling the community service requirements of his federal weapons plea deal, which also will require the rapper to spend one year behind bars and serve one year of home confinement. T.I. will address the arrest, plea deal, and subsequent fallout in his first nationally televised one-on-one interview tonight (May 6th) on BET (check your local listing for time and channel).

In a recent interview with Atlanta's 107.9 FM, T.I. called and explained that he was surprised many of his peers reached out to him after the arrest. The rapper said, "I wasn't expecting to hear from nobody. I made a point not to reach out to people ... because I didn't want to get none of my trash in nobody else's yard."

T.I. was pleased when Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Nelly, Diddy, Busta Rhymes and Eminem reached out. Young Jeezy even attended one of the rapper's bond hearings. T.I. shared that he and Eminem developed a special bond. He said, "The only person I spoke to more than Busta was Eminem. Me and Eminem, we stayed in contact, stayed on the phone, making sure each other was doing good."

During the radio interview, T.I. also explained that his new album, Paper Trail, would be different from his last. He said, "I'm just making sure this album is much more intelligently and artistically put together. I'ma still get loose now. I'ma still do me. But you know when I was living the way I was living, I was rapping the way I was rapping ... A lot of elements that were in my life no longer exist."
